Featured hybrid camera for professional content creation
A new level of content quality
The LUMIX GH7 Phase Hybrid AF follows the subject tenaciously, capturing it quickly and accurately. Dynamic Range Boost enables a wide dynamic range across all ISO sensitivity ranges.
Efficient workflow
ProRes RAW HQ internal recording, 32-bit floating format recording*, etc. can be performed on-camera, so you can create high-quality, highly efficient content with minimal setup.
*Optional DMW-XLR2 required
Outstanding reliability
Combines a compact body with a heat dissipation mechanism to allow long recording times even under heavy loads (4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p, ProRes RAW HQ).
ProRes RAW HQ internal image capture
The 5.7K 30p ProRes RAW HQ footage can be captured with the camera body itself, so you can capture the moment with minimal setup and no external tools, at the touch of a button. Enhanced gimbal compatibility also expands the range of expression possibilities.
・ You cannot record to SD card. ・Apple and ProRes are trademarks or registered trademarks of HDMI Licensing LLC in the United States and other countries.
A world first: 32-bit floating point recording*
Combined with the DMW-XLR2 (sold separately), the LUMIX GH7 is the world's first to offer 32-bit floating-point capture*, improving the quality and efficiency of the entire workflow. With its wide dynamic range, the 32-bit floating point format captures more information, from fish to loud sounds, eliminating the need for tedious fine-tuning of sound levels during sound recording.
*Available for digital cameras with interchangeable lenses from 5 June 2024. According to Panasonic research. When used with the DMW-XLR2 XLR Microphone Adapter (sold separately).
Phase hybrid autofocus
The most important feature of autofocus is reliability. In addition to contrast-based autofocus, the LUMIX GH7 also offers a phase-shift autofocus system that dramatically improves subject tracking performance and advances light metering technologies. It captures images well even in problematic scenes with multiple subjects, even from behind or in low-light environments.
High quality content creation
The LUMIX GH7 uses a completely new image sensor. The new 25.2 megapixel BSI CMOS sensor delivers richer tonal expression and improved autofocus performance through phase-shift autofocus (AF), helping to produce high-quality content.
A richer toned expression
The Dynamic Range Enhancement function captures two types of images in one exposure and combines them in real time to create rich tonal range composite images, even for scenes with large luminance differences. For still images, it allows richer expression of shadow tones in RAW file data. For video shooting, it enables 13+-step V-Log/V-Gamut image capture.* Achieves a wide dynamic range across all ISO sensitivity ranges.
*When shooting HFR/VFR video at 61 frames per second or higher, the dynamic range provides 12+ stops.・This function is applied automatically. ・Dynamic Range Boost is not activated when shooting HFR/VFR video at 61 frames/sec or higher or when shooting SH continuous shooting. ・Dynamic Range Boost is not activated when shooting still images at shutter speeds slower than 1/15, depending on ISO.
Unlimited 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p video recording duration
The Lumix GH7 offers unlimited recording time* with 4:2:2 10-bit C4K/4K 60p/50p internal image capture, when used at the recommended operating temperature**. Ideal for a small production team or in difficult conditions where agility and high quality are essential. It also allows simultaneous internal and external image recording via HDMI output.
* Under guaranteed operating conditions. Battery powered. Image recording time depends on battery capacity and media. ** -10~40 °C ・Digital Cinema Initiatives (DCI) standard 4K (4096×2160) resolution recorded ・90 video class CFexpress or SD card required.

Wireless/wired live streaming
Your favourite video streaming method lets you stream your fresh material in real time! In the field, wireless live video streaming (RTMP/RTMPS) is easy to set up with the LUMIX Sync app. Indoors, you can also use the highly stable wired live streaming (RTP/RTSP).
・Live streaming is basically possible on RTMP/RTMPS compatible platforms (compatibility with all platforms is not guaranteed). There may be cases where live streaming is not possible due to a change in platform service. Please refer to the platform usage policy for details. ・Since the speed of live streaming depends on the speed of the Internet connection, smartphone parameters and other factors, we recommend that you perform a preliminary broadcast test. ・The USB Type-C connector of the DC-GH7 can be converted to a LAN connector using a commercially available USB to Ethernet adapter.
Colour grading straight from the camera
Real Time LUT
LUTs can be applied to photos and videos in the camera, so you can take photos and videos directly from the camera. Supports ".VLT" and ".CUBE" file formats. Use this feature to save time instead of the complicated post-processing process. Combined with LUMIX Lab, you can easily create your own LUTs and install them on your camera.
LUMIX Lab application
Pair the camera with your smartphone in three steps and transfer your content seamlessly with ultra-fast Wi-Fi connectivity. Crop images, adjust brightness, apply LUTs and more, allowing easy editing to any social media platform in a snap.
