The MC-DC3 Remote Release Cord helps minimize camera shake while taking photos with compatible Nikon cameras. To use the MC-DC3, simply plug the 1 m cord into the 3.5 mm stereo mini-pin headphone/remote jack of a compatible Nikon camera and check that [# connector function] in the setup menu is set to [Auto switch].

When connected, the two-stage shutter release button on the MC-DC3 functions in the same way as the shutter release button on Nikon cameras. A half-press activates AE/AF, and a full press triggers the shutter.
