DJI RS 4 Pro Combo
The DJI RS 4 Pro is a high-end stabilizer that integrates seamlessly with the DJI Focus Pro lens control system, DJI Transmission and a wide range of control devices. This synergy offers the film and television industry a complete production solution that includes stabilisation, transmission, monitoring, focus management and control. It opens up a wider creative horizon for cinematographers and allows them to show the best of their creative abilities.
Full of capabilities
High load capacity
The DJI RS 4 Pro, equipped with carbon fibre shaft arms, boasts a 4.5kg payload capacity and robust performance and torque, easily carrying the most common mirrorless/film camera-lens configurations.
2. Generation native vertical recording
Designed with an all-new horizontal plate, the RS 4 Pro now offers second-generation native vertical shooting for even greater efficiency. The cameraman can simply release the horizontal plate without the need for tools and lock it in the vertical position, allowing it to easily switch to vertical shooting. [1]
Smooth balancing
The roller shaft now has a double bearing arrangement for easier adjustment. All three shafts have a low-friction Teflon™ coating, which ensures smooth balancing even when mounting heavy cameras. When changing cameras or lenses, the fine adjustment knob on the tilting shaft allows you to move the camera forwards or backwards for precise balancing to the millimetre. The top quick-release plate has an adjustable positioning baffle to prevent the camera from loosening or shifting.
Automatic screen lock
The OLED touchscreen features a new automatic screen lock function. When the screen is locked, the current gimbal and stick control modes are displayed at low brightness. This not only prevents accidental touches, but also saves battery power.
2nd generation automatic axle locks
The DJI RS 4 Pro's next-generation automatic axis locks enable it to quickly enter standby or sleep mode, significantly improving the efficiency of shooting, mode switching and storage. In addition, the axis locks have been improved to operate with even less backlash, further reducing gimbal shake during recording.
Excellent stability, exceptional standards
The DJI RS 4 Pro increases the torque of the motor by 20% [2] on all three axes, allowing for greater power redundancy once balancing is done. This ensures that the stabilizer remains responsive and accurate during tracking movements, even with heavy cameras or multiple accessories. It also provides sufficient power for the stabilizer to operate under different shooting conditions.
Car Mount Mode - if to be mounted on a vehicle
The new Car Mount Mode optimises the gimbal's stabilisation algorithm based on vehicle vibration and wind resistance data, so you can capture stable images even in bumpy conditions.
4. Generation RS stabilisation algorithm
The next generation RS stabilisation algorithm is optimised in all aspects for different applications. It strikes a balance between stabilisation strength and the tactile feel of camera movement, delivering superior stabilisation performance and an enhanced user experience. In addition, the RS 4 Pro provides significantly greater stability when shooting vertical shots, making it easy to cope with dynamic shots such as running or low-angle perspectives.
A master of versatility
DJI Focus Pro LiDAR automatic focusing
When used in conjunction with the all-new Focus Pro LiDAR [3] and Focus Pro Engine [4], the RS 4 Pro allows one-on-one filmmakers to enjoy more precise, farther-away, intelligent LiDAR autofocus, allowing them to precisely control elements of filmic expression when shooting dynamic shots.
Next generation ActiveTrack Pro
Powered by the all-new Focus Pro LiDAR [3] and AI algorithms, next-generation ActiveTrack Pro enables the RS 4 Pro's tri-axis camera stabilizer to track your subject with persistence. The system can quickly shift and maintain focus even when the subject is briefly obscured. ActiveTrack Pro also delivers excellent detection and tracking performance in scenes with multiple subjects, as well as with distant subjects.
Dual focus and zoom motors for higher levels of performance
DJI Focus Pro Motor
The DJI RS 4 Pro features for the first time the new stick control mode switch, which allows the operator to control the movement of the gimbal or zoom of the lens with the stick control. When used in zoom control mode with Focus Pro Motor [4], it is capable of Power Zoom and Clear Image Zoom functions designed for PZ lenses, [7] as well as external focus motor zooming for a native, accurate and comfortable focusing experience.
High efficiency lens control
Paired with two Focus Pro Motors [4], the DJI RS 4 Pro allows operators to precisely control focus by rotating the control ring and adjust the zoom of the lens with the stick control, making lens control smooth and effortless.
Remote control system for professional collaboration
DJI Focus Pro handheld unit
The DJI Focus Pro introduces innovative LiDAR autofocus technology and a high-precision, magnetic drag-resistant handheld control unit, the Focus Pro Handheld. [3]
For multi-person team shoots, the gimbal operator can control the RS 4 Pro gimbal via devices such as the DJI Master Wheels, DJI Ronin 4D Hand Grips or DJI High-Bright Remote Monitor. [3] The focus puller on the High-Bright Remote Monitor can also enable LiDAR Waveform for intelligent focus support [9] to enable more precise control with the Focus Pro handheld.
Exceptional performance
Longer battery life
High capacity Battery Grip handle
The DJI RS BG70 High-Capacity Battery Grip [3] can extend the battery life of the RS 4 Pro to 29 hours. [10] It supports powering cameras and accessories up to 18W via the USB-C port on the bottom.
Governance ecosystem
Improved product range
With the integration of the Focus Pro AMF lens control system, the DJI PRO ecosystem has been further enriched to become a robust product line that opens up new possibilities for film and television productions.
Focus control ecosystem
DJI Focus Pro offers a comprehensive and powerful lens control solution for RS 4 Pro operators. Both one-person shooters and film crews can easily use the intelligent LiDAR autofocus, as well as multi-channel control of focus, aperture and zoom, to dynamically control every moment of focus control.
Support for DJI Ronin Image Transmitter
For both independent videographers and smaller crews, the Ronin Image Transmitter [3] provides live HD image transmission, remote gimbal and camera control, ActiveTrack 4.0, Force Mobile and a host of other features, giving you an integrated shooting experience with control and monitor functions.
Professional solutions
The DJI RS 4 Pro supports a variety of grip solutions, such as Briefcase Handle, Dual Handle or Ring Handle. [12] It is also capable of using the DJI RS SDK protocol, so it can be mounted on a car mount, crank, Steadicam, cable track or slider, [12] i.e. it can meet a wide range of creative needs.
